QGIS users can perform detailed spatial analysis and then seamlessly share their findings through Felt.

We are excited to announce that Felt has renewed its sponsorship of QGIS as a Flagship Sustaining Member. We understand that many of our users are also avid QGIS users, and we believe in continuously supporting the tools that create value for our community.

This partnership underscores our dedication to enhancing the capabilities and accessibility of mapping technologies for everyone.

Felt and QGIS: A Powerful Partnership

QGIS, renowned for its robust desktop GIS capabilities, and Felt, with its powerful web-based collaboration tools, together offer an unparalleled mapping experience. QGIS users can perform detailed spatial analysis and then seamlessly share their findings through Felt’s intuitive, collaborative platform.

This integration facilitates smoother workflows, enabling teams to work more efficiently and effectively, whether they are in urban planning, environmental research, or journalism.

Announcing an Improved "Add To Felt" QGIS Plugin

We are equally thrilled to announce a new version of our "Add To Felt" QGIS plugin, developed by the talented team at North Road. This new version brings significant enhancements, including:

  • Support for local raster layers, both styled and unstyled.
  • Support for public XYZ layers.
  • Improved retention of QGIS styles within Felt. By converting QML (QGIS Markup Language) to FSL (Felt Style Language), users can now ensure their maps look just as intended when shared on Felt.

This update not only broadens the range of data that can be shared but also preserves the stylistic integrity of your maps, making collaboration more seamless than ever.

Try it now

Stay tuned for more updates and tutorials on how to make the most of these new features. Together with QGIS, we are committed to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in mapping and spatial analysis. We look forward to continuing to serve our user community with even more powerful, easy-to-use spatial data analysis tools.
